Occasionally you may need to adjust the horizontal position of the sample probe on your instrument particularily if it rubs or scrapes against the side of the alignment guide. Some rubbing is acceptable, as long as the probe movement is smooth.
To adjust the horizontal position of the sample probe, follow these steps:

Turn on the XY Platform and the Luminex 100/200 instrument.
Use a 3/32 inch hexagonal allen wrench (provided in the XY Platform Accessory Kit) to loosen the arm pivot locking screw.
Move the sample arm to the left or right until the sample probe is in the center of the alignment guide.
Tighten the arm pivot locking screw.

Improper placement of the XY Platform below the Luminex 100/200 may contribute to the horizontal misalignment. An additional suggestion, if the horizontal alignment proves difficult, is to realign the Luminex 100/200 with the XY Platform.
