STarUtility Plates

STarUtility plates are designed for use with STarStation 2.3. The specialised
plates allow you to automate daily maintenance procedures and give true walk
away operation.
xMAP Sheath Fluid
Luminex Sheath Fluid is intended for use as the delivery medium of the sample
to the optics component. It is available in a 20L format or a 20X concentrate
that offers the benefits of:
- Save space
- Reduce waste
- Reduce shipping cost

xMAP® Multi-Analyte COOH Microspheres
Microspheres are general use components
for further manufacture of xMAP bioassays. They are internally labelled with
fluorescent dyes and contain surface Carboxyl groups for covalent attachment
of ligands (or biomolecules). They are at a concentration of 1.25x10E7 beads/ml.

xMAP® Multi-Analyte LumAvidin Microspheres
Microspheres are general use
components for further manufacture of xMAP bioassays. They are internally labelled
with fluorescent dyes and contain a surface layer of Avidin for near covalent
binding of biotin and biotinylated ligands. They are at a concentration of
2.5x10E6 beads/ml.

FlexMAP™ Beads
FlexMAP™ beads are fluorescent
microspheres comprising 100 unique colour codes enabling individual beads to
be identified using a Luminex® STarSystem.
A single strand of DNA - unique to each bead colour code - is bound to a designated
microsphere, which enables complementary custom oligonucleotide primers to
bind to their corresponding bead. The oligonucleotide primers are biotinylated,
enabling their quantification with a Luminex® STarSystem.
This allows you to multiplex nucleotide assays – dramatically improving the
rate in which you can analyse the results of PCR runs. This is ideal for high
throughput analysis of SNPs, DNA and RNA, with minimal contamination and maximum
accuracy.
- PCR fragments are generated using custom-tagged oligonucleotides - up to 100
from one sample.
- PCR products are bound to a colour-coded FlexMAP™ bead.
FlexMAP™ bead bound PCR products are stained with fluorescent phycoerythrin.
- The FlexMAP™ bead and fluorescent tag are analysed using a Luminex® STarSystem to quantify the concentration of PCR product bound to each individual bead.
- Data is analysed easily using STarBase nucleotide analysis software.
FlexMAP™ beads, from Applied Cytometry, combined with
Luminex® technology
give you the potential to analyse the products of 100 PCR reactions, per
well, from a 96 well plate. Use FlexMAP™ beads to analyse the products
of 9600 PCR runs in under two hours.
