Service and Maintenance Agreements for Luminex 200™ Systems
Based on increased demand for Luminex technology, a Multi-Tiered Service Agreement menu is now available including the following options. Field visits are provided on behalf of Applied Cytometry by Luminex BV specialist engineers, permanently based in Europe.
Standard Maintenance and Service Agreement 'Gold Agreement'
The Standard Service and Maintenance Agreement covers all costs associated with the repair of a Luminex system including travel, parts and labor. This product includes on-site 48 hour response time, if required, and unlimited visits on emergency repair. The customer will receive one Preventative Maintenance visit during the year of coverage as well as the engineering modifications for hardware updates at no additional cost.
Comprehensive Maintenance and Service Agreement 'Platinum Agreement'
The Comprehensive Maintenance and Service Agreement is designed to meet the needs of the high volume laboratories. This agreement includes all of the services provided in the Standard Maintenance and Service Agreement. In addition, the customer will receive one additional Preventative Maintenance visit during the year, on-site 24-hour response time, if required and one free Luminex 100 1.7 or IS training session (CN-0069-01 or CN-0070-01), which must be redeemed during the year of coverage (travel expenses for training session not included). This product is restricted to the United States and countries comprising the European Union only.
In addition to the Standard and Comprehensive agreements, the following two agreements are available. These agreements maintain coverage while reducing price to fit within tight budget guidelines.
Basic Service Agreement 'Silver Agreement'
The Basic Service Agreement allows for one Preventative Maintenance visit for the instrument within the year of coverage. In addition, the customer will receive a 30% discount on replacement parts for emergency repair. No additional costs will be incurred for travel and labor with unlimited visits for emergency repair. In addition customers receive priority scheduling and a 48-hour response time as well as all Luminex updates.
Prevention Plus Service Agreement 'Bronze Agreement'
The Preventative Plus Service Agreement allows for one Preventative Maintenance visit for the instrument within the year of coverage. The customer will receive a 20% discount on replacement parts for emergency repair. Additional costs will be incurred for travel and labor.
Instrument Recertification
When a new Service Contract is required, an additional cost for Instrument Recertification will be charged if the Luminex 100 system has been out of Warranty or a Service contract for more than 60 days. Additional costs may be incurred for replacement parts required to bring the instrument up to working status as well as travel to the customer site and any other out of pocket expenses incurred by Luminex engineers. Once recertification is completed the new Service agreement and time period of cover will commence.
Customers are therefore advised to purchase a new Service Maintenance agreement before the Warranty or the existing Service contract expires to avoid paying additional recertification costs.
*The price given is a minimum charge as there will be additional costs due to the nature of parts replaced and travel distance.
