STarBase SNP-R software

STarBase SNP analysis software from Applied Cytometry performs fast, accurate SNP analysis via the Luminex® multiplexing system.

STarBase is fully compatible with commercially available SNP assay kits. Set up and run your experiments with the user-friendly STarStation software before importing your data files into STarBase.

STarBase presents your data in a simple, easy to understand manner and allows the data to be manipulated with ease.

  • Results are displayed graphically as allelic scatter plots
  • Genotype calls are automatically made from preset templates
  • Thresholds can be set to refine your results with questionable samples

Results for each allele are presented as homozygous or heterozygous genotypes.

STarBase - bringing multiplex technology to the genomic age

  • Perform fast, accurate SNP analysis via the Luminex® multiplexing system
  • Perform up to 100 simultaneous DNA and RNA assays from a single sample
  • Visualise, analyse and quantify genotyping experiments with ease
  • Results can be stored, printed and even exported into Microsoft excel to give you true versatility when reporting your experiments.

Worklist Editor

Worklist Editor allows users to alter the plate layout of an assay after it has been run - allowing you to amend worklists following acquisition.

  • Amend standards following acquisition.
  • Transpose standard curves
  • Refine dilution factors.
  • Amend samples.
  • Add sample details.

STarStation users have told us which utility they would find most useful to in their day to day running of the Luminex 200TM - the ability to change an assay's worklist after it has been acquired. From this user feedback Applied Cytomtetry developed Worklist Editor, to best suit those needs.

The sample curve may have been applied to the plate in a reverse orientation, samples may have been input incorrectly into the software, or you may have simply changed the dilution factor of your samples without amending your worklist.

Worklist Editor, with the same user friendly engine as STarStation, allows you to correct worklists easily and quickly - saving you time and effort.

STarCollate

STarCollate allows users to quantify data from up to 20 previously acquired assay plates from the same standard curve - save space on your assay plate and increase the number of samples analysed dramatically!

  • Quantify your data using a previously generated standard curve.
  • Maximise space on your plate and run more samples in your assay.
  • Save time and money in preparing standards.
  • Create a model standard curve to use time and time again!

STarCollate even allows you to create a composite standard curve using standard from up to six different plates. Increase the replicates used to calculate the curve to generate the most accurate standard curve possible.

Analyse up to 20 assay plates from one standard curve!

We asked STarStation users what feature they would find most useful in running their STarStation assays. The answer was striking: To run one plate containing a standard curve, made up of multiple replicate standards, and analyse a range of plates against the standard curve.

STarCollate was developed with this in mind, but was taken one step further. STarCollate also allows users to create a composite standard curve from standards run on several different plates - giving you even more accuracy when creating a standard curve with which to quantify results.

Designed from the STarStation engine, STarCollate is as user friendly and easy to use as any other package in the STarStation range.
Following just a two step process, users can quantify assays generated via STarStation against a single standard curve. The results can then be optimised using the familiar user-friendly functions of the STarStation Reports tab.
